The Tiny House is situated in the vegetable garden of Villa Ariola, within the Tuscan National Park, and on a site of special scientific interest. The nearby village of Irola di Sopra dates back to the Middle Ages. It is characterised by typical stone houses, olive trees, chestnut trees and other woods surrounding the village.

The vegetable garden is located on an ancient site that has been recently replanted. The olive trees and fruit trees are all less than 30 years old, and the vegetable garden was started in 2020. The site is an old meadow that was last ploughed with oxen in 1942, during the Second World War. Since then, the field has been used for grazing and as a hay meadow until 2020, when I had an area in the centre ploughed and fenced. I have kept the surrounding area as a flower meadow. The vegetable garden produces organic produce, fertilised with organic manure and compost from garden waste. We practice crop rotation to maintain soil health and companion planting to discourage pests and attract beneficial insects, without using chemical fertilisers or pesticides.
